All You Love About Nimbus. Only More.

Nimbus Boats has officially unveiled the new 12 Series, a complete evolution of its most successful line: the Weekender 12, Tender 12, and Commuter 12. Each model carries forward the award-winning DNA of the 11 Series while introducing refined Scandinavian design, elevated comfort, and major performance upgrades tailored for today’s boaters.

Modern Yachts is proud to share the first look at these models with our community here in the United States.

A Major Step Forward for Nimbus

The 12 Series reflects what Nimbus owners value most. Real-world functionality. Social connection. Reliability. Effortless handling at high speeds. Every update is purposeful and rooted in how people actually use their boats.

“Owners told us what mattered most. The 12 Series gives them more of exactly that,” says Jonas Göthberg, Commercial Director at Nimbus Boats.

From the waterline up, every model benefits from meaningful improvements.

New Features Across the Entire 12 Series

Striking New Exterior Design

The most noticeable update is the extended swim platform with double-mold construction that seamlessly integrates with the hull. New polished stainless steel railing and stainless logo details give all three models a sharper, more modern profile.

Redesigned Helm Seats

Nimbus created all-new custom helm seats with deeper lateral support and improved ergonomics, making long days at the helm significantly more comfortable.

Better Lighting, Ventilation, and Visibility

Updated illumination, a new windscreen wiper system, and improved ventilation raise comfort and clarity in all conditions.

Enhanced Aft Deck and Social Layouts

A new aft deck seating arrangement adds side cushions that transform storage spaces into flexible seating areas. The optional hydraulic swim platform on outboard models brings guests even closer to the water and doubles as a passerelle when moored.

Next-Generation Power Options

For the first time ever, the 12 Series is available with dual Mercury V10 425 hp outboards, offering incredible acceleration and confident performance well above 45 knots. Volvo Penta inboard options remain available on the Commuter 12 and Tender 12, including joystick-assisted docking for easy maneuvering.

Model-Specific Highlights

Tender 12

The Most Comprehensive Evolution in the Lineup

Nimbus 12 Series cockpit and deck layout

The Tender 12 receives the most dramatic transformation. A completely redesigned T-top is now wider and longer, featuring integrated solar panels and acrylic see-through sections with sun-blocking treatment. For the first time, the T12 introduces a folding starboard side balcony that expands the cockpit social area at anchor.

Available with dual Mercury V10 425s, the Tender 12 is the perfect choice for boaters who want performance, open-air entertaining, and walk-around functionality.

Weekender 12

Designed for Relaxation and Social Time

The Weekender 12 introduces a new Targa version inspired by the iconic Nimbus 32 Ballista. A starboard side balcony increases openness and flow, giving families and friends more room to unwind and enjoy the moment.

The W12 is built for weekend adventures, day trips, and extended time aboard with generous storage for water toys and gear.

Commuter 12

Refined Versatility for Year-Round Use

Nimbus 12 Series profile view

The Commuter 12 takes Nimbus’s proven commuter concept and elevates it. The redesigned aft deck creates more usable space, and the aft sofa now includes a folding backrest. Inside the deck salon, a galley-up layout, blackout curtains, and a convertible sofa make the C12 suitable for four-season boating.

Whether used for long-distance travel or daily trips, the C12 excels in both open and closed configurations.
